After reading that I shouldn't go on a cruise after 24 weeks...and realizing my placenta previa condition, the last thing I wanted was to be on a boat in the middle of no where and start bleeding. So I ruled out a cruise really fast. Then Joe got creative...naming places you only dream about.
Since my uncle is a pilot and he and my aunt would know of a good place and easy to get to flying standby. My aunt told us Hawaii...since Joe has never been!
I was sold!
That was on a Thursday and by Monday we were packing up and heading to the airport.
Things got a little tricky here...flying standby you never know if more people will show up and get a head of you and you can miss out on a seat. Well, they had one seat left and they called our names. At first we weren't willing to split up, then we realized we just have to get over there. So Joe left so he could meet up with Matt and I stayed in LA that night with Nicole. It worked out perfect....we are lucky to have the greatest friends. I made the flight the next morning and by Tues at 11am we were both in Hawaii enjoying our vacation.
We broke up our trip a few ways, the first 4 days were spent in Waikiki ....
We did a dinner boat cruise, Pearl Harbor ate at Jimmy Buffets and hung out with some family that happen to be in Hawaii at the same time. My mom's cousin's daughter was there filming for Hawaii 5-O. We relaxed by the pool with them and had a good time.
Next was North Shore...where I feel like is real Hawaii. The beaches, the mountains..its all beautiful.
Thanks to my dad's missionary companion who is the head coach of the BYU-H basketball team we got to see a great game. Then spend an awesome day at the PCC (Polynesian Cultural Center), surf and see Sea Turtles. It's been so much fun...but now we aren't able to catch a flight off the island so we are head to Maui on Tuesday to stay a day and get a flight home on Wednesday.

Loving Haleiwa
Joe out surfing Turtle Bay
Right now, Joe woke up early to go with Matt and some other kids to "swim" with the dolphins. They say their is a cove that the dolphins hang out in before dawn or something. Anyways...I couldn't picture myself swimming with dolphins unless it was 85 degree water and in a tank where no other sea life could see me. I'm interested to see how it went...
Looks amazing! I love your 25 week picture!
